Dear Skippers some dates for your diaries:-
1st Sept First Wednesday DBYC Stammtisch at the Bilge Bar for tall tales and talks.
11th Sept The DOC’s DASH a new event hosted by our very own Doc Oliver, a dash around the islands and ending on board two junks at Sunshine for food and drinks.
22nd Sept Lantern Festival. Although this is the Wednesday night before the public holiday, some skippers are talking of bringing their boats round to the main beach to raft up and watch the Disney fireworks. Join us and light up your boats creatively if you have time.
1-3rd Oct COA Macao Race- There is a proposed race to Macau, however Jan has since found that most hotels are full of mainland visitors and charging high rates, plus boat berthing seems to be an issue. If any skipper wants to make a suggested alternative Cruise / Rendezvous / Race, Jan has said he is happy to help co-ordinate so please take the initiative if you want to organize an impromptu DBYC gathering.
6th Oct First Wednesday DBYC Stammtisch at the Bilge Bar for tall tales and talks.
9-10th Oct Middle Island Regatta, confirmed with ABC, always a well sponsored and attended event at a great venue.
3rd Nov First Wednesday DBYC Stammtisch at the Bilge Bar for tall tales and talks.
13-14th Nov SOKOS Cruise, a very popular annual event with the usual overnight bbq and choral entertainment hosted by Soko and her merry crew.
11th Dec DBYC Christmas Party – planning is underway for another great party
