Dear DBYC,
Apologies for a very 'quick & dirty' Newsletter this month, but I'm off on my hols today (sailing in Scotland - forecast: showers, 10-16 degs. Hmmm...) and I did want to remind you about these all-important upcoming events...DB Regatta. A big 'hats-off' to Chris Hammond for volunteering to organise and run this year's DB Regatta (booze-cruise) on 27 June. Despite TS Nangka resulting in a cancelled Race 1, and with Race 2 postponed to the Sunday, a few thirsty die-hards managed out there to enjoy a veritable heap of prizes! The regatta report will be posted soon (isn't that right, Chris?), so please send any good pics to hammo@dbyc.net so the truth can be known.Up-coming Events. This is the important bit. Coming up in the next 3 months (please note in your diaries):
Sat, 29 Aug DBYC Picnic 5/6 Sep ABC Opening Regatta Sat, 12 Sep DBYC 10-Year Regatta & Party 17/18 Sep Middle Island Regatta
Also, we are working on the DBYC Christmas Party on 11 Dec and would welcome your ideas. Please send suggestions to mail@dbyc.net soonest. Volunteers to assist in the arrangements also warmly received...Boats For Sale. Last but not least, there are a number of second-hand, entry-level boats on the market - check out the DBYC's For Sale page.See you on the water!Regards,
Jim Fernie
