The DBYC has been invited to take part in a Lantau-area dolphin census on Saturday, 18 June with each boat taking a WWF observer to an allocated location from 1200-1300 hrs on the day to count, photograph and identify dolphins (Clickfor background info).
Participants are then invited to a welcoming dockside beer-call and dinner at the Gold Coast, sponsored by the Sino Group, before berthing overnight at the Gold Coast marina. A Pursuit Race will be arranged for the return to DB on the Sunday, along similar lines to the popular Tsing Ma Regatta.
This should be a great opportunity for dolphin spotting, and the berthing, beer, dinner, etc are all free - so what are you waiting for?!

Motor Vessels are welcome to join the fun, then assist as guard vessels around the course for Sunday’s Pursuit Race return to DB. GCYCC and the Discovery Bay Marina Club are kindly sponsoring the event and berthing at both marinas will be free for participants on a space-available basis. A limited number of rooms are available at the Gold Coast Hotel at a special rate of HK$750 (single) / HK$800 (twin or double) per night, breakfast included.
