DBYC Events: DB Regatta 2010

The DB Regatta

 

Saturday, 19th June 2010

 

The DB Regatta, comprising one local race from Discovery Bay, is scheduled for Saturday, 19th June 2010.

The planned format will be a local islands race.  Following the race thirsty crews can retire to the Marina Club’s Bilge Bar terrace for the prize-giving.  Entries are invited for two divisions.  The entry fee will be a nominal $150 per yacht.  Prizes will be awarded for Line Honours, 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each division, and Overall.  The ‘Rear End Trophy’, which is traditional to the event, will be awarded on merit, as always…However the seat is still missing???

Race Registration at DB Marina Clubhouse

(sharp)  Race briefing

Race start – Island course

1700

(approx) Prize-giving on Bilge Bar terrace

Motor Vessels are welcome to join the fun (entry gratis), assisting as guard vessels around the course.

Please contact crew@dbyc.net to find a boat (no prior experience necessary) or if you need additional crew.

Race entries should be returned e-mail as soon as possible.  In the meantime, spread the word about the regatta – the more boats the better!
