The planned format includes a short cans race in the bay, followed almost immediately by an islands race. Last but not least, the thirsty crews can then repair to the Marina Club's Bilge Bar terrace for the prize-giving. Family and fans can watch from the marina headland, where the action of both races will be easily viewed.
Entries are invited for two divisions, split equally by PN. The entry fee will be a nominal $150. Prizes will be awarded for Line Honours, 1st, 2nd and 3rd places in each race on corrected time. Regatta prizes will also be awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places overall, using the modified Low Point scoring system. The 'Rear End Trophy', which is traditional to the event, will be awarded on merit, as always...

Boats may join the DB Regatta at any stage - for both races or in time for Race 2 only. Motor Vessels are welcome to join the fun (entry gratis), assisting as guard vessels around the course.
Race entries should be returned by fax or e-mail as soon as possible. Contact crew@dbyc.net to find a boat or if you need additional crew. In the meantime, spread the word about the race - the more boats the better!
